How Long Does a Non Surgical Nose Job Last?

The Duration of Filler Based Rhinoplasty Procedures

If you’re thinking about getting a Non Invasive Rhinoplasty, your first question might be, how long does a Non Surgical Nose Job last? When the Non Surgical Rhinoplasty procedure first debuted, one short-hand way to communicate its value was as a “test-drive” for a more permanent rhinoplasty procedure. In the past, that permanent rhinoplasty procedure had generally been surgical in nature, but that’s no longer the case—saving those patients a great deal of pain and discomfort along the way.

In fact, thanks to recent innovations and developments within the arena of dermal fillers, patients have more choices and options when it comes to determining the desired duration of their results.

Non Surgical Nose Jobs have made great strides with innovations compared to traditional, surgical rhinoplasty, especially when it comes to the duration of the procedure. When we speak of duration, we really mean two different things: how long does the procedure take, and how long do the results last? In both of these ways, non-surgical rhinoplasty is able to offer a viable alternative.

How long does a Non Surgical Nose Job last? Much will depend. Contact Dr. Rivkin or Dr. Cohen to schedule a consultation and get answers specific to you and your situation.

How Long Does A Non Surgical Nose Job Take?

Traditional rhinoplasty procedures require a serious time commitment. While performed on an outpatient basis, the procedure still requires hours of time from pre-op meetings to time spent in surgical recovery, to say nothing of weeks spent at home recovering. A Non Surgical Rhinoplasty procedure, on the other hand, can be completed in a matter of minutes.

When you come in for a consultation, Dr. Rivkin or Dr. Cohen will discuss your desired results with you. Generally, this consultation does not take very long, and Dr. Rivkin or Dr. Cohen will immediately begin treating your nose, ensuring that you get immediate results. The entire procedure takes a matter of minutes, earning non-surgical rhinoplasty the rather accurate nickname “Fifteen Minute Nose Job.”

How Long Does Non Surgical Rhinoplasty Last?

Surgical rhinoplasty procedures are permanent. That isn’t always a good thing—as some patients want to see how their new noses will look before committing to them. Non-surgical rhinoplasty offers patients the ability to do just that, taking their new noses for a “test-drive.” However, modern dermal filler options mean that patients now have more control over how long their non-surgical rhinoplasty results will last.

How Long a Nose Job Lasts Depends on the Filler

  • Radiesse – By using Radiesse as a filler, patients get a great, natural looking result. However, Radiesse will generally last anywhere between 6-12 months, meaning that if you like your results, you will need to come in for maintenance injections within roughly 9 months to ensure your results do not diminish. Radiesse is a great choice because it is composed of calcium and cellulose, meaning risk of any type of allergic reaction is quite small. The natural components also mean that the results look quite organic.
  • Voluma – Voluma is a hyaluronic-based dermal filler, and due to its consistency and long duration, is perfect for non-surgical rhinoplasty. Because hyaluronic acid is already found in your body, Voluma injections do not require pre-procedure allergen testing, meaning that you can get your injections (and your results) that much sooner. The results of a non-surgical rhinoplasty with a Voluma injectable will generally last upwards of two years, though you may need to get maintenance injections before that in order to ensure that you maintain your results.
  • Bellafill/Artefill – If you want a permanent nose job but you don’t want to go through a painful surgery, Bellafill is the injectable of choice. Bellafill (formerly Artefill) is specially formulated to be difficult for your body to absorb, meaning it lasts a significant amount of time. In the face of non-surgical rhinoplasty, you can expect your results to be effectively permanent, lasting upwards of over a decade. This means that the duration of non-surgical rhinoplasty now rivals traditional surgical methods.

A Flexible Duration with the Non Surgical Nose Job

Despite its ability to rival traditional procedures in terms of the longevity of its results, Non Surgical Rhinoplasty techniques are still being innovated. Dr. Rivkin and Dr. Cohen, in particular, want to give patients the ability to get a wide variety of results for a wide variety of purposes.

We recognize that some patients desire results that last only a short while and other patients are more interested in permanent results. Non-surgical rhinoplasty gives patients a flexibility in the duration of the results that simply cannot be replicated by traditional surgical procedures. This flexibility gives patients more control over their own results—results that are visible immediately and with no recovery.
